First Day of School

Kory started his first day of kindergarten a few weeks ago and so far so good except for being sick several days last week. I did not post about it, well…because I was not really sure how things were going to go. Since he started Kindergarten a year early, I was sure we would be going back to pre-K before the week was up. I admit that I was a little sad for him to start Kinder this year-but happy for him all at the same time. I was planning on having a whole year to prepare! Kory is very happy about his new school-really loves his teacher- and is supper excited because violin is integrated into the curriculum, so all K-2nd graders learn to play! Here he is in his little uniform. What a handsome little boy!

I just found this on the front page of yahoo and thought it was kind-of funny! For all those who know me-it will be no surprise that I found it humorous and worth sharing! You should check it out...just for fun! Sounds like a pretty reliable study-although the sample of children is somewhat low-as far as-being representative of all low-income kiddos in the US. Keep in mind also that by 1-that means 12 months-24 months.
