End Of School Shakesphere Festival

At the end of every year, Ambleside has a Shakesphere Festival that includes ALL grades. This evening included the pre-K, Kinder and 1st grade reciting several Sonnets and the "May Pole" Dance. There are 2 plays performed by the older kids and supper is served with popcorn and snowcones! Here are some pictures of that fun...BUT HOT night!!

Fun Times at Grandma and Grandpa's

I think I will just let the pictures speak for themselves! This was one evening Anita, Neal, Keith and I all got together to clean out the barn for Mother's Day-as that is what mom said she wanted. So after we worked all afternoon, the kids got to enjoy the fruits of our labor! Keith, Neally Boy and Dad hung up the horse tire swing...which the kiddos LOVED!!! (Ignore Kenedee's swollen eye-that was from a mosquito bite)!

Easter Time

Well I am going to backtrack....TO EASTER! I LOVE EASTER as it is one of my favorite holidays. I always enjoy going to church in Miles on Easter, as it just takes me back to being a child and always imagining when I had children and taking them to church Easter morning. BUT! It is SO early-8:00 service so that meant we had to leave the house by 7:30! After church, they had an Easter Egg hunt..then brief stop at Grandma and Grandpa's house....then home for a bit to enjoy all the treats the Easter Bunny left....and then over to my Aunt Pat's for Easter Lunch and another Easter Egg hunt. The weather was SO pretty and just an awesome day to spend with my kiddos and reflect on all the blessings and awesome things I have to be SO thankful for!
