Rodeo Day at Kory's School
On Monday, Feb. 23 our rodeo activities continued!!! At Kory's school they had a rodeo day and as one of their "Family" activities we had to made a stick horse. Boy was that an experience!!! Kory was very tired from the weekend (as was mommy) and Grandma came to help us! We really had NO idea what we were doing...and Kory's horse kind-of looked like a lopsided donkey! But, he was very proud of it and Mrs. Barry came and told me that she thought it was one of the cutest horses she had ever seen! If you notice...Kory even matched his horse like a real rodeo cowboy!!! Here are some pics. of him and his horse, him singing at the program and then participating in the little rodeo that they had set up! It was a very fun morning and wore me out...as we did not know it them but I was only 3 days from having a baby!

Rodeo Fun
Well, I am going to backtrack a little bit...we had so many things happening at once with Kenedee and the Rodeo Festivities that I kind-of skipped all the rodeo stuff to post pics. of the baby! So to start...we kicked off the rodeo with the parade on Sat. Feb. 21 and boy was it chilly! The temp. itself was not so bad, but the wind made it almost unbearable to enjoy! Kory was dead-set on riding with Keith in the parade and even though it had to be extra-cold up on those tractors Kory really had a great time! Here are some pics of Kory before and during the parade!
That afternoon/evening we took Kory up to the fairgrounds, went through the exhibits and then to the rodeo. Although, the rodeo did get kind-of long and late...about 10:00 Kory absolutely loved it! I was actually pretty surprised how much he enjoyed it! On Sunday...the weather was SOOOO MUCH nicer and we took Kory back up to the fairgrounds to ride some rides. We really did have a great weekend!

Kory's Valentine Box
Kory is just getting sooo big and is starting to have real school projects. This is one of the first "family-at home" projects that he has had through his school! For Valentine's Day he was supposed to make a Valentine Mailbox! Well, I had all kinds of good ideas, but no Kory, of course...had his own ideas as well and NONE of my ideas were very good ones according to him. So..his idea...a Transformer Box! No matter how much I tell him that I do not know anything about Transformers and have absolutely NO idea how to make a Transformer box he insisted! So, between he, Grandma and I here is what we came up with...
Needless to say he was very excited and very proud of his box. The next morning the first thing he says when he wakes up is, Can I go see how pretty my box looks...isn't that the cutest thing!
