Rodeo Time

Kory has become a little rodeo junkie! Not sure what it is but he can not get enough of the rodeo. He was SO tired from the crazy weekend we had, that I kept him home from school on Monday! 3-Yes that is 3 rodeo performances he has went to and would of liked to go to ALL of them! Throughout the rodeo performances Kory kept cracking me up...saying with a foot stomp and arm motion...GET Em..GET Em (talking about the bulls) and "Those Bulls are just out causing trouble!" When asked about his favorite part...ALL OF IT!!! He says very enthusiastically! Not able to choose a favorite part??? Now that shows just how much he enjoyed the rodeo. Our schedule looked liked:

Thursday: I get home and Kory says...Momma Cole is riding a sheep tonight. Can we go see him please please please. I say..what Kory-Cole is riding a sheep? Yah...he is riding a sheep. Ms. Preston (his principle) put all our names in a hat that wanted to ride the sheep and she pulled Cole's out-HE IS RIDING THE SHEEP TONIGHT MOMMA.. Ok Kory I say-not sure but thinking he is talking about the mutton busting at the rodeo. I say-at the rodeo??? YES MOMMA!!! Can we go please please!!! So, Keith ends up taking him to watch Cole ride the sheep and our little rodeo junkie's addiction has begun!

Friday- We were able to keep Kory out of the fairgrounds due to promising him a Sat. full of rodeo fun and not to mention he is absolutely EXHAUSTED from his night before!

Saturday- Keith and Kory are at the parade by 8:00-YES that is 8:00 AM and the parade does not start until 10:00! Talk about hard core! Kenedee and I find out places around 9:30 in order to cheer them on!! Eat with the family at Henrys, go home for a short rest and then out to the fairgrounds we go! Rides, rides and more rides! Cotton candy, lemonade, funnel cakes, BEER and Oscar the Robot are among our family's favorite things! Drop Kenedee off with Grandma and head to the rodeo! More cotton candy and lemonade! Lots of livestock and cowboys! LATE NIGHT especially for a 5 year old!

Sunday- Church, out to eat at Francos (YUM YUM) and back to the fairgrounds! More Oscar the robot, exhibits, petting zoo and Kory and I go back to the rodeo. Only at my 5 year old's unrelenting persistence and we had free tickets from the parade! Let me tell you we were tired!

The next Thursday- Back up at the fairgrounds. Keith took Kory to the piggy show and Kory thought he was in HOG HEAVEN!!! HA HA!!! (couldn't resist)! Here are some pictures from our weekend!
